私は、日本に暮らす一市民として、この書簡を送ります。

敵意からではなく、誠実な懸念と、平和への希望からの言葉です。

私の考えは、特定の思想によるものではなく、あくまで──

平和、論理、そして一人ひとりの命の尊さを信じる心から生まれたものです。

最近、イランへの攻撃を指示されたという報道に接し、

私はあなたの決断に対して、深い疑問を抱きました。

あなたはこれまで、繰り返し「イランは危険な国である」と発言してこられました。

それにもかかわらず、その“危険な存在”であるはずの国に対して、

一方的な軍事攻撃を行う──

これは、果たして本当にアメリカ国民の安全を守る行動なのでしょうか？

むしろそのような挑発は、報復や緊張の激化を招き、

自国民をより危険な状況にさらす結果となるのではないでしょうか？

この判断は、私には一貫性を欠き、軽率なものに映りました。

そして、それは本来リーダーに求められる冷静な思慮を欠いているのではないかと、危惧しております。

私は政治の専門家でも、外交の裏事情に精通しているわけでもありません。

ただ、遠い国に住む一市民として、中立な視点で世界を見ている者です。

だからこそ見えることもあります。

たとえば、イスラエルでは、

国家の方針がごく一部の権力者によって決定され、

多くの一般市民は、沈黙を強いられ、恐れや喪失の中で生きています。

「国家＝国民」ではありません。

私は、苦しみながらも声を上げられない人たちの存在を、世界に伝えていきたいのです。

戦争は、武器から始まるのではありません。

共感が失われたときに始まります。

対話よりも恐怖を選び、

自制よりも報復を選んだとき、

戦争への道が開かれてしまうのです。

トランプ氏、あなたはかつて世界で最も影響力を持つ立場にあった人物です。

どうか、恐れに突き動かされる決断の先にあるものを、もう一度考えてみてください。

真のリーダーシップとは、「力を見せつけること」ではなく、

沈黙と冷静さをもって「戦わない選択」をする勇気にあるのではないでしょうか。

あなたの言葉と行動は、今もなお多くの人々に影響を与えています。

だからこそ私は、心から願います──

どうか「支配」ではなく「理解」、

「威圧」ではなく「熟慮」に基づく選択を。

歴史があなたをどう記憶するかは、

恐怖を煽った人か、知恵を選んだ人かで決まるのかもしれません。

Dear President Donald J. Trump,

As an ordinary citizen of Japan, I write to you today not in hostility, but in sincere concern—and in hope.

My message is not driven by ideology, but by a deep belief in peace, logic, and the value of every human life.

I have followed recent reports indicating that you authorized an attack on Iran.

This decision has prompted in me—and I believe in many others—serious questions that I hope you will consider, even briefly.

You have repeatedly described Iran as a dangerous and hostile nation.

Yet, in response, you authorized a direct military strike—an action likely to provoke retaliation, escalation, and potential harm to the very people you claim to protect: American citizens.

I ask respectfully:

If a nation is truly considered dangerous, does provoking it through unilateral aggression not increase the danger rather than contain it?

This logic, to me, appears inconsistent—if not reckless.

It does not reflect the strategic thinking and measured responsibility I would expect from someone who has held the office of President of the United States.

I do not claim to understand all the details of your foreign policy.

I am simply a citizen—watching from afar, but caring deeply.

But from this distance, I see a troubling pattern:

Decisions made in haste.

Rhetoric that escalates tension.

Actions that seem designed not to protect people, but to preserve political power or personal image.

In Israel, I also see a nation suffering.

While many assume the government and the people are one and the same, I believe otherwise.

I see countless Israeli citizens—good, ordinary people—who are caught in a cycle of fear, silence, and grief, unable to speak freely against a system that does not represent them.

I believe the same may be true in your own country.

And that is why I feel compelled to write—not only for those who are loud, but for those who are unheard.

War does not begin with weapons.

It begins with the choice to abandon empathy.

It begins when fear replaces dialogue, and strength is mistaken for violence.

Mr. Trump, I ask you—as a former leader of one of the most powerful nations on earth:

Please consider the consequences of fear-based decisions.

True leadership does not lie in dominance. It lies in restraint, in calm, and in the courage to seek peace, even when fear screams for retaliation.

Your words and actions still influence millions.

For their sake—and for the sake of all who live with the consequences—I urge you to reflect.

Think not only as a politician, but as a fellow human being.

What will history remember you for?

The fear you provoked—or the wisdom you could have chosen?

私は信じています。AI開発者の多くも本来、命を奪うためではなく、命を守るためにその技術を磨いてきたはずです。

I am an ordinary citizen living in Japan. I appreciate and regularly use the service you created—Amazon.

However, I recently heard someone say you "set the fire"—a metaphor referring to Amazon's reported involvement in military and surveillance technologies.

It saddens me to think a company that improves lives may also be contributing to threats against them.

Please direct Amazon's power toward saving lives: through AI, education, healthcare, and environmental efforts. There are countless peaceful ways to shape the future.

I believe you are truly someone who can change the world.

Please make a choice our children can be proud of.

I simply hope fewer people cry because of war.
From one mother, from one human being.

With your global influence and name recognition, you have a rare chance to be remembered in history—not as a figure later condemned like Columbus, but as a respected hero of peace for humanity’s future.

A true hero is someone who gives hope beyond their own time. I truly hope you become such a figure for our world.

I believe many AI developers originally pursued their work to protect life, not end it. Bound by corporate priorities, they may not speak up—so it is citizens like me who must raise our voices in their place.
